An evil sorceress is planning to completely dominate the world, time and space and force mankind to follow her bidding. A special elite taskforce, the Garden, along with its outstanding cadets, the SeeDs, have been set aside to battle her. Squall Leonhart, a gunblade specialist, is chosen beyond his will to lead a group young deviants. Along the way, he meets Rinoa Heartilly, a free-spirited young lady and they eventually fall for each other. In their perilous quest to defeat the sorceress, Squall must set aside his doubts, battle with his mysterious dreams and face the emotions which he has been running away from.
I'm not sure why so many people hated FF8. This is one of my favourite games of all time :).
